Competition Details

This year we have a competition running for the Best Christmas Lights In New Zealand, thanks to our sponsors Flexilight New Zealand.

Every Christmas lighting display that's listed on www.lightupchristmas.co.nz, providing it has at least one photo or video, will be automatically entered into the competition.

The lighting display with the most "Xmas Love" chosen by the public on this website until or by Boxing Day, will win!

There is a limit of 1 vote per household per Christmas lights display per day so voting is fair. No "average of votes" system this time which can be abused.

Prizes

The winner of the competition will win a "Flexilight NZ Prize Pack" worth $1000 courtesy of our generous sponsor Flexilight New Zealand. Second prize is a $500 "Flexilight NZ Prize Pack". Third prize is a $500 "Flexilight NZ Prize Pack".

Competition Terms & Conditions

• Each time someone visits the website and views the details of a particular lighting display, they have the opportunity to vote by clicking on the heart icon to give their "Xmas Love" to that display. The lighting display with the highest number of "Xmas Love" will be the winner.
• All houses listed on this website are automatically entered into the competition.
• The competition will run from 12pm, 1 December 2011 through to 12pm, 26 December 2011 NZDT.
• Winner(s) will be determined by the listing which has the highest number of public votes generated on the Light Up Christmas website by users giving a display "Xmas Love".
• Each website visitor can only vote once per lighting display per 24 hours as their IP address will be recorded.
• A lighting display must have a minimum of 50 votes to qualify for the competition.
• A lighting display must have a minimum of 1 photo or 1 video uploaded to the Light Up Christmas website to qualify for the competition.
• The display's total number of votes ("Xmas Love") will always be displayed on each lighting display's detail page.
• Winner(s) will receive their prizes directly from the prize sponsor no later than 31 January 2012.
• Light Up Christmas is not responsible for prizes not delivered.
• Any lighting display seen to have had votes added through a method other than one per IP address per 24 hours through the provided mechanism on the Light Up Christmas website will have all their votes immediately disqualified.
• If more than one display has the same exact number of "Xmas Love", the display with the most 'Likes' on Facebook will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie of Facebook 'Likes', the display which was listed on the Light Up Christmas website first will be declared the winner.
• The Light Up Christmas team have the right to remove any votes found to be added by dishonest voting practices.
